{article/topic_title} AGM Main Discussion Points

Posted by webmaster on (684 views)
The 36th Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday 9th June 2010. Here are the main points from the meeting. The Vets league will now be one-up one-down. There will be an extension to the rule on re-arranging matches. Failure to tell the fixture secretary of a re-arranged match will cost both teams points. The exact wording to be amended in the rules prior to the publication of the handbook. There was a discussion about running a Racketball league. There will not be a league, however, providing there are enough entries an open cup event will run in line with the Peter Kramer Cup. Teams will be 4 players, scoring will be best of five games PAR 11. Please contact Martin Roberts if you wish to enter a team. There was a discussion on PAR scoring. Traditional English will remain the scoring system for the forthcoming season. However the committee would like all players to consider their view on this matter as many other leagues are moving over to PAR. Pete Billson will initiate discussion with Junior representatives from the clubs aiming to build on last year's round robins.
