With the current refurbishment of the Crucible Theatre this year's Mamut English Open Squash Tournament will be staged at the English Institute of Sport in Attercliffe from 15th to 18th December.Qualifying for entry to the first round will take place at the Abbeydale and Hallamshire clubs on 13th/14th December (Tickets for the Qualifying rounds can be obtained by contacting either club).The Five Star PSA Tour event,boasting a prize fund of 55,000 dollars will attract a top entry led by Sheffield's own Nick Matthew ,the World No 8 recent winner of the US Open and last year became the first Englishman for 67 years to win the British Open crown.Tickets for all sessions at the EIS are available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk or 0870 060 1795

Following Adwick's withdrawal from the league one team has reformed and is now playing out of Maltings as Maltings 1. The Ladies team at Maltings have also withdrawn.
